Energy Solutions is seeking a passionate and motivated person to join our Midstream Sales team in Zürich.
Your Mission: At MAN, we are committed to making a difference in the fight against climate change. As a Bid Manager, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating the transition to decarbonized Energy systems and as well helping emerging countries to grow sustainably their economy. You will work with internationally known companies, providing them with compressors for gas transport, gas storage and gas liquefactions trains, which are central to the transport and storage of natural gas, hydrogen and biofuels.
Tasks
- Selecting Optimal Solutions: Understand customer needs and collaborate with our engineering team to provide the best compression solutions.
- Determine the Bid Strategy: Independently implement sales and product strategies, pursue commercial opportunities, and identify growth areas that deliver value to customers.
- Estimating Project Budget: Leverage your expertise to evaluate costs based on past references and communicate effectively with sub-vendors.
- Crafting Technical and Commercial Offers: Prepare comprehensive contracts that define the scope of supply and commercial terms, contributing to the success of our eco-friendly projects.
- Technical and Commercial Negotiations: Be a confident communicator and negotiator, engaging with customer teams to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
- Innovating and Optimizing: Continuously improve processes, develop tools, and drive cost optimization initiatives to contribute to our agile and sustainable environment.
You can help us with these qualifications
- Master's Degree in Engineering: Preferably in mechanical, industrial, or energy systems engineering.
- Knowledge of Energy Markets: Familiarity with natural gas, hydrogen, and biofuels markets is a plus.
- Experience in Sales or Project Management: 3–5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Customer Focus & Sales Success: Proven track record in consultative selling, driving results, and turning opportunities into sales successes.
- Strong Communication & Negotiation Skills: Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is an advantage.
- CRM System Experience: Familiarity with customer relationship management tools.
- MS Office Proficiency: Skilled in using Microsoft Office programs.
- Team Player with a Proactive Mindset: Resilient personality with a hands-on approach.
