We can offer you the following tasks

The position is located in the function "Engineering Architecture & Services (ES)". ES is a global function with employees at 10 sites worldwide that offers domain expertise and competence, providing highly specialized, integrated, and optimized end-to-end engineering system and architecture solutions. Additionally, ES delivers global services in product information management, AR/VR, product cost management, and adherence to norms and standards.

 

  • Development and maintenance of the Engineering Architecture (EA) system & software landscape (international, cross-site)
  • Development of EA framework with enterprise-wide view on business and processes to build a digital thread and harvest the benefits from a PLM perspective
  • Challenge and develop our existing system concerning engineering and configure to order approaches by using advanced technical configuration principles
  • Apply architecture principles and implement architecture guidelines and standards to ensure “fit to strategy”, quality and scalability to business solutions
  • Set Architectural direction for engineering projects and topics across different locations and development areas 
  • Analyze information through data models and architecture diagrams
  • Liaising with engineering, operations and IT departments to set direction for technical solutions
  • Communicate the value of new IT and EA strategies and keep stakeholders informed of ongoing initiatives
  • Monitor and evaluate new technologies and trends to promote innovative solutions and increase competitiveness

You can help us with these qualifications

 

  • Degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
  • Several years of professional experience in system architecture and software development preferably in an Engineering business
  • Experience in leading teams and projects across different locations and different cultures
  • In-depth knowledge of modern software architectures, PLM, technical configuration/modularization, cloud technologies, DevOps practices etc.
  • Intercultural competence and experience in working with international teams and strong change management skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts in an understandable way
  • Certifications in relevant technologies and methods (e.g. TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are an advantage
