You can help us with these qualifications

  • Experience working in a FinOps environment, with examples of tooling/analysis provided to impact cloud spend. 
  • Experience working with at least 1 cloud service provider: AWS, Azure. Familiarity with billing constructs and basic services. Certification in one of the providers is a plus. 
  • Able to independently own FinOps engagements with internal/external teams and drive to a measurable outcome. 
  • FinOps Practitioner, Assosiate or Professional certification is a plus
  • Able to speak fluently about the 6 FinOps Domains, and associated capabilities. 
  • Experience implementing or monitoring KPIs for improvement of FinOps capabilities. 
  • Experience collaborating across the multiple FinOps personas, particularly engineering, governance and finance teams. 
  • Familiar with pricing model for cloud services and e.g. instance types 
  • Experience with cost monitoring tooling 
  • Detail-oriented with Optimization mindset 
  • Capable of building Intelligent dashboard and reporting  
  • Knowledge about reporting/dashboarding solutions such as AWS Quicksight, PowerBI are an advantage. 
  • Knowledge of the software development cycle (CI/ CD, test automation, configuration management) and experienced handling of common CI/ CD tools (Terraform/CDK, GitHub, etc.) is a plus. 
  • Experienced in agile project setups as well as working with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence)
  • Business-fluent English language skills 
  • A membership to the FinOps Foundation. (This indicates the candidate is interested in continual learning and makes an effort to surround him- or herself with like-minded individuals who discuss evolving solutions and best practices.)

We can offer you the following tasks

 

  • You will evaluate existing cloud-based architectures in terms of the orchestration of implemented cloud services regarding cost-efficiency & scalability and define (cost optimization) measures if required.
  • You will act as internal champion, by sharing your AWS/Azure knowledge and deducting best practices within the MAN ES Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE).
  • Furthermore, you will be responsible for enhancing our cloud optimization tool suite in regard of envisioned features. 
  • With your entrepreneur mindset, you identify potential for additional services & capabilities within our FinOps Portfolio and introduce it to the CCoE community to increase their value contribution with speed and efficiency.
  • You are part of an internal, agile team working with business-oriented colleagues, software / data engineers, cloud experts, governance and finance.
  • You will get the opportunity to sit in the first row of the cloud transformation, building a whole new discipline from scratch and experience a variety of cloud initiatives
